About Highland Massage
Your Therapist
Coming from the Highlands, Maelo Nabongo was raised as a warrior and consequently practised Karate, Jui- Jutsu and Shotokan for almost 20 years. Maelo has a black belt and 6 Dan.
During his active years in martial arts, he learned massage techniques to prepare the muscles before combat and to treat tendons, ligaments, joints and sinews. Relaxing the muscles and reducing stress through massage was an integral part of staying in peak condition and minimizing the risk of injuries. A deep understanding of physiology and the functioning of various body parts helped him achieve victory.
The unique aspect of his treatment is Maelo’s incredible ability to detect deep-seated pressure points, sometimes even unknown to the patient. This extraordinary sensitivity, combined with the strength of his hands, helps release deep-seated tension and loosen tight muscles. Blood circulation improves and pain subsides. His targeted approach to relief rejuvenates, relaxes, and restores.
